Certainly, there are people talking and walking around. But what really builds the atmosphere are the small sound details: the footsteps on the concrete floor, the horn of a train in the distance, the announcement from a slightly echoing speaker, to the sound of the gate signal. Without these details, the station atmosphere would feel sterile and fake, even with sharp images.
This is why we at Berkah Abadi Studio are so obsessed with Sound Design. Many think our job is done once the dialogue is clear and the background music is set. But that's just the beginning. In post-production, our editors become sound architects. We build a layered audio world to accompany the visuals, ensuring every element in the frame has its own sound.
Think about a simple scene: a factory worker walking alone in an empty hallway.
- Visual: A man walking down the hall.
- Without Sound Design: Complete silence, just background music. It feels flat.
- With Sound Design by BA Studio: We add the sound of footsteps echoing in the metal hallway, the soft hum of slightly damaged neon lights, to the faint sound of the worker's breathing.
Suddenly, the simple scene becomes dramatic. The audience can feel the worker's "loneliness" and "fatigue" without him needing to say a word. These small sound details subconsciously influence the audience's emotions, creating a depth of field in their ears.
Our investment in a rich sound library and professional mixing equipment is proof of our dedication to detail. We believe that good visuals can make people look at the screen, but great sound design is what makes them truly immerse in it. We don't just make videos, we create sensory journeys.
